Course Summary
This course offers a 8 week experience to explore artificial intelligence (AI) and its impact on users and organisations, looks at tools to deploy intelligent systems in organisations, modify intelligence in response to real world problems and review ethical challenges. AI can help make faster and accurate decisions, mitigate physical harm, can work 24/7 and support collaborative working.
This course is delivered for 3 hours per week face to face for 10 weeks termtime only. In addition to this all learners are required to undertake 2 hours a week of independent study.
This course is suitable for anyone who is considering a career in IT with a particular interest in AI and support companies to develop the use of AI to support their services.
This qualification is designed to open you up to a career in technology and provide you with the skills and confidence to apply for one of the tens of thousands unfilled vacancies in technology advertised in UK every week.
Course Content
On this course you will learn:
• Explore the foundation of Artificial Intelligence and its impact on users and organisations
• Explore approaches, techniques and tools to deploy Intelligent Systems in an organisation
• Explore how to improve AI-based systems and how it exhibits intelligence in response to a real-world problem
• Consider technical and ethical challenges and opportunities of Intelligent Systems
Course Assessment
You will be assessed through in classwork with an expectation that this will be completed in your own time out of lesson.
Materials
Digital equipment including computers and software will be provide for use in lessons. It is recommended that you have access to a computer to complete any work or research in your own time.
Qualifications
You will achieve a college certificate for the completion of Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence and Intelligence Systems for Business, Level 4.

Entry Requirements
A minimum of experience in the work place within IT or an academic qualification in IT / professional qualification in IT.
