Certificate in Cosmetic Make-Up

The VTCT Level 2 Certificate in Cosmetic Make-up is a qualification that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills in; how to apply make-up, instruction on make-up application and how to provide eyelash and eyebrow treatments.

The course consists of a variety of cosmetic make up units:

• Provide eyelash and brow treatments
• Apply make-up
• Instruction on make-up application
• Client care and communication in beauty-related industries
• Follow health and safety practice in the salon
• Provide eyelash lifting

You are assessed by a variety of methods including:

• Practical observations
• Oral questioning
• Written modular tests.
• Production of a portfolio of evidence

The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills in cosmetic make-up to a high level of occupational ability, to enable you to perform your own salon services or work within the make-up industry.

A cosmetic make-up kit is required, which has a cost of approximately £173

VTCT Level 2 Certificate in Cosmetic Make-Up

A level 2 qualification in beauty therapy.

There are no formal entry requirements to study for this qualification, but you must demonstrate a genuine interest in this subject, be prepared to follow high standards of behaviour and display a positive attitude to study.

An initial assessment of your English and maths may be required depending on your qualifications to check you have the skills needed to successfully complete this course.
