Apprenticeship Onboarding

Welcome to Dudley Colleges Apprenticeship Stage 2 onboarding page. 

Please select the sections below to progress your enrolment. 

All stages in the process must have been completed before the start date of the apprenticeship. Stage 3 will commence once these parts have been fully completed and returned to the college. This will include an Apprenticeship Agreement and Training Plan which will require your signature.

Part 1 – English and Maths Prior Knowledge Assessment (BKSB) 

As part of the initial assessment process for your apprenticeship, you are required to complete a maths and English assessment. This is a mandatory step and must be completed independently, without external assistance.  

The purpose of this assessment is to help us understand your current skill level and identify whether any additional support may be needed to help you successfully complete your apprenticeship. Your honest and unaided responses are essential to ensure we can provide the right guidance and support from the outset.  

Instructions:  

1. Access the assessment via the following link: https://dudleycollege.bksblive2.co.uk/bksbLive2
2. Complete both the maths and English sections in full.
3. A personalised message will be sent with login details.

Part 2 – Standard Specific Prior Knowledge 

As part of the onboarding process for your apprentice, it is essential that a Skills Scan is completed jointly by yourself and the apprentice prior to enrolment. This step is critical in identifying the apprentice’s current level of competence across the skills, knowledge, and behaviours outlined in the relevant apprenticeship standard.  

Completing the Skills Scan with transparency ensures we can accurately determine the apprentice’s starting point and identify any gaps in competence. This information is vital for developing a tailored learning plan that supports meaningful progress throughout their apprenticeship journey.
