Course Content

The ESOL E2 reading includes engaging with various text types such as simple narratives, public notices, emails, letters, and advertisements. Learners will develop skills to trace main events, understand meanings, identify text purposes, find relevant information, and order words alphabetically.

For their writing, students will practice creating notes, messages, emails, invitations, and descriptions. They will learn to present information appropriately for different audiences, construct simple and compound sentences, use adjectives and correct punctuation, spell words accurately, and complete forms with personal details.

Speaking & Listening focuses on improving conversational skills through discussions and practical scenarios. Learners will practice understanding and responding to spoken language, expressing information and opinions, asking and answering questions about personal details and routines, and engaging in role-plays to enhance fluency and comprehension. Each course provides practical exercises to apply these skills in everyday situations.

Course Assessment

The end of course assessments will be ESB (English Speaking Board) ESOL examinations which are externally set.

Initial assessment is carried out to decide on the most appropriate level for you to study.

Full support is given throughout your studies with regular reviews of your progress. Ongoing assessments, tasks and/or tests will take place throughout the course to allow your tutor to monitor your progress.
