Course Summary

This qualification provides an opportunity to gain or refresh knowledge & skills Electrical Inspection, Testing Certification & Reporting which aims to upskill in Inspection and Testing procedures for certification and reporting.

Course Content

This qualification covers the single unit knowledge, which covers safe isolation, the requirements for initial verification and initial inspection and certification of electrical installations and generating installation reports.
Safe testing and commissioning and the completion of regulated documentation for a typical electrical installation.

Course Assessment

The assessments for this qualification are 60 question open book examination (on line).
The learner will also undertake the initial verification and periodic inspection & testing practical assessment.

Employer Benefits

The employer receives a competent electrical person who can inspect installations to a Level 3 standard in Award in Electrical Installation Inspection, Testing, Certification and Reporting.

Materials

All class based materials will be provided but you will require IET Guidance Note 3, BS7671 and Onsite Guide.

C&G 2391-52 Level 3 Award in Electrical Installation Inspection, Testing, Certification and Reporting Combined

Progression

This qualification will lead to further study onto various L3 electrical qualifications 2365, 5357 Electrotechnical apprenticeship.

Entry Requirements

For entry onto this qualification learners must be 19+ years old and have the potential through their job role to complete the elements of the course.
Previous Electrical Installation knowledge and experience is essential. Evidence shall be required to be provided by either holding an Electrical Qualification to Level 3 and be working in the Electrical sector or have worked in the sector for more than 5 years and evidence through professional discussion prior to enrolment.
