Course Summary
The Business Administrator Apprenticeship is a minimum of 15 months and should typically be completed within 18 months. The apprenticeship provides a highly transferable set of knowledge, skills and behaviours, which can be gained working across an organisation and its processes. The apprenticeship is a firm grounding in organisational operations and functional processes, as well as the wider working environment.
The Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship is designed for business professionals across all sectors, including public. private & charitable. The role contributes to the efficiency of the organisation, influencing the customer experience & with a focus on adding value, ensures that highly transferrable skills are used effectively.
They undertake to provide excellent support & engage with different parts of their organisation, using their flexibility & responsiveness to manage priorities & resolve problems.
Course Content
The course provides a programme of study that encompasses both competence & technical elements of effective business administration. The period of learning, development and continuous assessment is managed both by the employer and the delivery provider- who work closely together to deliver effective support & training.
The training & delivery will focus on key knowledge skills & behaviours, including record & document production, decision making, interpersonal skills & project management. There is a strong focus on IT skills & the quality of work outputs.
For any learner who does not currently hold a GCSE/O level grade A-C in English and mathematics there is also a requirement to undertake an equivalent Level 2 Functional Skills qualification.
Course Assessment
Knowledge Test
• The apprentice undertakes a multi-choice test to last a maximum of 60 minutes and include 50 equally weighted multi-choice questions with four possible answers each.
Portfolio-based Interview:
• The interview is for 30-45 minutes and scored out of 100 by the Independent End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO). The Portfolio of Learning, developed throughout the course, provides a structure for this conversation.
Project Presentation:
• The apprentice delivers a presentation to the EPAO on a project they have completed or a process they have improved. The presentation lasts 10-15 minutes, with a further 10-15 minutes for a Q&A session.

Progression
There is the opportunity to progress to a Team Leading or Management Apprenticeship upon completion.
Entry Requirements
Individual employers will set their own selection criteria. This can include a minimum of Level 2 maths and English. Apprentices without Level 2 maths and English will need to achieve this prior to taking the end-point assessment.
