Course Summary
Film & TV course explores the artistic, technical, and theoretical aspects of filmmaking and television production. This area is designed to provide the knowledge and skills to create, analyze, and understand films and television shows. It blends creative expression with technical proficiency, helping to learn everything from storytelling and scriptwriting to the practical aspects of filming and editing. .
Course Content
You will investigate behind the scenes of the film and television industries and you will gain a technical and practical understanding of film and television production skills. You will work creatively on a variety of projects and on live challenging briefs that will equip you with the skills needed to succeed in the industry.
Some of the subjects within the course may include:
• Film and television studies
• Single camera techniques
• Editing techniques
• Scriptwriting
• Short film production
• Factual production
• Advertising production.
You will be working in a professional environment using industry standard software including the latest equipment, software and Apple Mac computers. Educational visits will also form an integral part of the curriculum.
Course Assessment
You will be assessed through:
• coursework for both practical and theoretical elements.

Materials
Materials that you will need to purchase independently for your course will include; a pen, note paper, memory/USB stick, memory card for use with cameras. (SD minimum Class 6 - minimum of 8 GB).
