You are invited to accompany your apprentice to our Bring your Boss to College Day on Friday 18th October 2024, 8:00am – 11:30am.

  • Meet tutors, assessors, and managers
  • Gain an understanding of the Apprenticeship
  • Understand how to capture and record off the job hours
  • Expectations of apprentice, employer and college
  • Understand how important the employer is to the Apprenticeship journey
  • Introduction to Smartassessor
  • Tour of Advance II facilities.

We’ll also include a breakfast sandwich and a coffee, of course!

It is important that employers and apprentice attend this event prior to the apprentice starting their Apprenticeship at college.

Aspiring Teaching Course – Information Evening & First Class

Interested in a career in teaching? Our comprehensive free* course is designed to equip aspiring teachers like you with the essential skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the classroom.

It will give you a taster of the professional skills you will develop as a teacher and allow you to assess if it is the right career choice for you. The course consists of a variety of weekly modules which will prepare you for entering the teaching profession. In this 8-week course you will learn how to plan, deliver and evaluate teaching practice. The sessions are designed for those with little/no previous experience of teaching who are interested in passing on their existing skills and experience, by pursuing a teaching role on a full or part-time basis.

  • Monday 2nd September, 9.30am – 4pm

  • Wednesday 4th September, 9.30am – 7pm
  • Thursday 5th September, 9.30am – 7pm
  • Friday 6th September, 9.30am – 4pm.

You will need to bring the following information with you:

  • Your GCSE results slip from school
  • Proof of identity such as passport, debit card or driving licence.

Parent & Carer Induction Evening

We value the contribution that parents and carers make towards their young person’s education and the vital role you play in supporting them.  

Students planning to study with us in September 2024 are invited, with their families, to attend our parent and carer induction evening. 

Join us at the Broadway Campus on Tuesday 9th July at 6.00pm, where you’ll find out how we can work together to make your young person’s transition to college as smooth as possible 

You’ll be able to hear from our Chief Executive and Principal, ask us your questions and find out more about our supportive learning environment.

Get Started Summer Social

If you’re in Year 11 and have applied to study with us in September, you’re invited to our Summer Social in July! 

Celebrate finishing your GCSEs and experience life as a Dudley College student for the day, where you’ll get the chance to:

  • Visit our summer festival, where you can take part in fairground activities, have-a-go at dodgems and choose from a range of free food and drink vendors
  • Pick up your free goody bag and get your hands on Dudley College merch.
  • Try out your chosen course and meet like-minded students who may be studying with you in September.

We’ll be running the Summer Social on Friday 5th July at 9am. It will finish at 3pm. Please note all attendees will need to come to the Broadway campus.
