Course Summary
This course is aimed at students with a special educational need or disability to support them to choose a vocational pathway working towards further education or employment.
Students experience sessions that offer insight into the courses available across the department including Animal Welfare & Conservation, Horticulture & Conservation, Creative Media, IT & Administration, Catering, Construction and Sport. This allows students to make an informed choice as to the direction their study will take.
Students also develop skills to help prepare them for adulthood, taking part in educational visits and trips to increase confidence with social interaction, community cohesion and travel.

Course Assessment
Students are assessed through witness statements, Q&A, observation and practical application, collated as a portfolio of evidence.
Materials
• Clothing and footwear appropriate for use in the Aspire Garden.
• Sportswear and trainers.
• Apron.
• Small financial to food items for cookery sessions or educational visits.

Students will be individually assessed at interview by both Support & Curriculum Teams to ensure academic and support needs can be met by the college.
