As part of this course, you will:
Learn to deal with everyday maths
Improve your IT skills whilst gaining confidence in using the computer for maths learning
Improve the necessary skills to help prepare you for joining other college courses

Course Assessment
The assessments for this qualification include: an on-going continuous assessment and practice exams throughout the year and a final exam.
Initial assessment is carried out to decide on the most appropriate level for you to study. Full support is given throughout your studies with regular reviews of your progress.

Materials
All class-based materials will be provided but you will need to provide a Functional Skills CGP book at the level you are studying.
Qualifications
City & Guilds recognised qualification from Entry to Level 2 depending on level studied.
Progression
This qualification will lead to progression onto other college courses and/or employment.
Entry Requirements
For entry onto this qualification there are no formal entry requirements.
You will have a confidential interview, initial assessment to help to plan your individual learning programme. Prior to enrolment on this course, you will need to have an initial assessment in maths and/or English. This will ensure that you are enrolled on the right level of course to succeed and help us to identify and provide any support that you might need.
