Welcome to PayMyStudent, the new online portal that allows you to apply directly for bursary and hardship funds to reduce the cost of coming to college.

What is PayMyStudent

PayMyStudent is a simple one-stop system you can use to apply for a range of financial support which may be available to you as a 16–18-year-old or adult learner at Dudley College of Technology (subject to personal circumstances and eligibility).

PayMyStudent is accessible using any device – PC; laptop; tablet; mobile phone. You fill out an application form along with any additional questionnaires and submit this together with supporting evidence relating to household income.  We use this information to determine your eligibility for all of the different bursaries and financial support available.  Once the process has been completed, you can track your payments, amend bank details and make additional funding claims all in your online account.

How and when do I apply?

16/18-year-old full-time learners can apply for help with course related costs such as book, kit, uniform, free meals and help with childcare costs via PayMyStudent, from the 1st July once they have accepted an offer to study here at Dudley College of Technology.  Adult learners can apply the day after their enrolment.

To create an account first you need to register.  Access the PayMyStudent portal and create your account using your student number along with your date of birth and a password of your choice. For a detailed guide on how to create an account and make an application check out our student guide.

What’s Next?

Once you have submitted your application the team will carry out an eligibility assessment, the time taken to process applications may be longer during busy periods, especially at the beginning of the academic year when large numbers of students are making applications, so please apply as soon as possible.

How do I check on the progress of my application?

After you have applied, you can log into PayMyStudent at any time to check progress and read correspondence sent to you regarding next steps and track payments.
