Our partnership with the Skill Shop during the recruitment of Food and Drink team members was extremely positive. We worked directly with Ruth Tretheway, who was fantastic! Ruth quickly understood our needs and delivered bespoke training tailored to the Museum environment, including customer service and health & safety, before candidates attended trial days on site.
Each applicant worked hard throughout the process and, as a result, all arrived well prepared, well presented, and confident. They interviewed well at the end of the experience, and many have since gone on to work for the Museum in a variety of capacities.
It is also great to use this pathway to support people in our community to gain essential skills and, ultimately, employment. I would highly recommend working with the Skill Shop.
