Dudley College of Technology’s Priory Road 3G Football Complex is an all-weather complex with a third generation (3G) artificial grass pitch (AGP) which is used by both the college’s home team and can be hired for local community users.
The facility, which includes changing facilities for players and officials, as well as a stand area for spectators has the added benefit of being floodlit so games can be played up until 9.00pm weekdays.
The complex was made possible after the college secured £874,030 grant from the Premier League & The FA Facilities Fund which is delivered by the Football Foundation the country’s largest sports charity.
The Football Foundation in partnership with Birmingham FA and Dudley College has compiled a five-year Football Development Plan for the site with an emphasis on increasing participation. As part of the plan the site will be used by The Albion Foundation to deliver a Player Development Centre, and to increase engagement from under-represented groups.
Partner club Wrens Nest FC along with The Albion Foundation, will all add to the growth in participation on site.
