Course Summary
Aspire’s Working Towards Sport & Well-being course is designed for young people with a special educational need or disability and is based at the Aspire Houses, Broadway. Sport & Well-being offers students the opportunity to develop their knowledge of health, fitness, personal well-being and nutrition as well as developing skills in a variety of sports and fitness areas including football, basketball, boxing, dance, pilates and use of gym equipment. Students also have the option of trying out for the Aspire Football Team. All ‘Working Towards’ courses help to prepare students for onward study and their progression onto higher level courses, or employment, and include communication and study skill development as well as literacy and numeracy.
It aims to develop a range of skills within sport and well-being to prepare for further study or employment within the sector.
