Our Sports Therapy Degree will develop you for an exciting career working with elite level to grass roots athletes.
You will learn a broad range of skills and gain experience across Sports Therapy and Exercise Science, helping you to become a skilled practitioner.
The course is accredited by our governing body, The Society of Sports Therapists who we engage with continuously to ensure the course meeting the high professional standards and remain as up-to-date with the latest developments in treatment and rehabilitation.
Throughout the course, you'll gain the confidence and expertise to tailor your Sports Therapy treatments, enabling you to work in a broad range of individuals. Some of these include, but are not limited to, elite sports people, amateur athletes, the general public, and special populations.
This course is delivered at the Black Country and Marches Institute of Technology by a specialist team of academics from the University of Worcester. The team of academics are experts in the field of Sports Therapy with a broad and varied background providing a very practical and applied approach to learning the essential skills to be a successful Graduate Sports Therapist.
Studying Sports Therapy at the Black Country and Marches Institute of Technology will appeal to a wide range of prospective students, in particular those who want to study in their local area and be part of our tight knit community, where small group learning allows for personalised attention and close collaboration with dedicated staff, making you feel like part of one big family. A further unique aspect is the course will have a condensed timetable, allowing students the opportunity to engage in extra-curricular activities and or work outside of university.
You will also have the opportunity to undertake placements at local sports settings in Dudley and the wider region, as well as the opportunity to use additional specialist equipment at the University or Worcester.
