Course Summary
This qualification is aimed at those that have completed a Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation with limited inspection & testing experience and are looking to develop their skills.
This qualification helps you to develop your skills required to carry out inspection and testing on electrical installations. The course covers legislation, inspection and testing techniques, completing and issuing certificates and understanding of results and measurements.
The courses is offered either days or evenings.
• One day per week for approximately 9 weeks or
• One evening per week for approximately 14 weeks

Progression
Upon completing the C&G 2391 you must then be able to demonstrate a minimum of 12 months experience carrying out inspection and testing of new installations prior to enrolling on the C&G 2391-51 Award in Initial & Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations. This will be assessed by professional discussion, if you cannot demonstrate sufficient knowledge you will not be able to progress until the level has been achieved.
Entry Requirements
You must have achieved Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation Buildings and Structure, have the opportunity to practice your inspection & testing within the workplace. You may also be requested to undertake a BKSB English assessment to ensure that you are able to read and understand the technical terminology.
