From September 2026 we can offer access to our fully licensed NET AM2S/AM2 Assessment Centre for apprentices completing their AM2/AM2S End Point Assessment.
The purpose-built centre is situated at our key Broadway campus, offering plentiful car parking at the heart of our Dudley Learning Quarter campus.
The AM2S/AM2 is the End Point Assessment for candidates on an Electrical Installation Apprenticeship Standard. The assessment includes composite installation, inspection & testing of the composite installation and safe isolation of supplies. It also covers fault diagnosis, fault rectification, and assessment of applied knowledge.
What does the assessment involve?
AM2S / AM2 course assessment
Sections A, B and C are practical assessments completed under controlled conditions. Section D is an online multiple-choice exam. All sections are open book, and you will have access to all permitted reference material.

What do I need to bring?
ID
Please bring proof of ID: Driving licence, passport or other ID with your photograph are acceptable.
Tools
All tools will be provided by the assessment centre, but you are permitted to use your own insulated side cutters, wire strippers, and pliers only, providing they are in a safe and serviceable condition (i.e. insulation undamaged). NET recommends they are insulated to the BS EN IEC 60900 standard.
Your assessor may refuse personal tools if they are unsafe to use.
These tools will still be available from the assessment centre for you to use if you prefer.
All other tools outside of these three items will be supplied by the centre and must be used.
Any personal tools will be photographed by the assessor and added to your assessment record.
What do I need to do before arriving?
You may want to prepare for the assessment by looking at the useful resources provided by National Electrotechnical Training (NET) who is the sole End-Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) for the UK’s electrotechnical apprenticeship standards.

What happens on the day of my assessment?
Arrive with plenty of time and report to the main reception of the Broadway campus. You will be asked to sign in and provide the registration of any vehicle you are in.
You will be issued with a Visitor badge, which must be worn whilst on site outside of the EPA Test Centre, to move around the building. You will have access to toilet and canteen facilities whilst you are with us.
