Learning difficulty or disability

The College continues to support a very diverse learner body.
In line with 2019/20, slightly more females engaged with learning in 2020/21. The ethnicity profile shows our adult learners as a group are increasingly more diverse than the local community. 45.4% of our learners are from minority groups. There are no significant achievement gaps based on ethnicity. When achievements of male and female learners are compared, males achieved at a higher rate than females (+7.8%) this is a wider gap than seen in the previous 3 years.
The College was pleased to support 480 adult learners with a declared learning difficulty or disability in 2021/20, through a wide range of support services. There is no significant difference in the achievement rates of adults who declare a disability and those who do not.
