Dudley Dashboard – Apprentices

Balanced Scorecard

The overall performance of this key client group is ‘meets expectations’. The ongoing pandemic and associated economic downturn have continued to impact Apprenticeships recruitment, although this is expected to recover in 2021/22. Apprentices’ retention and associated achievement have also continued to be impacted as some sectors struggle with difficult trading conditions, an uncertain economic period and as the job retention scheme concludes. Despite the clear difficulties, those apprentices remaining on programme have continued to achieve to a good standard, with a minor improvement on the previous year for in-college apprentices at 60.9% (60.2%). The provision continues to be very well aligned to local industry need and receives positive feedback from employers and students.
