Course Content
This particular Level 3 course provides students with the practical and theoretical skills required for the purchase, maintenance, repair, install and provision of customer support for ICT computer systems/networks. The course covers many of the business and technical skills which enables students to become highly employable by the end of the course.
Subjects you will study include:
• Delivery of ICT system support acquisition and customer support provision
• Games-driven/event-driven programming using visual basic
• Maintenance of ICT systems, install and configure software
• Construction and management of networks and data security
• Repair centre procedures.
Course Assessment
Assessment is through a combination of workshop assignments, practical work with presentations and two online tests.
Materials
You will need to provide your own stationery and USB memory stick, a PC repair kit and purchase appropriate dress code which will be discussed at interview.
Qualifications
Level 3 Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles for IT Professionals
Progression
HND Computing or Apprenticeship at Dudley College, a university degree or alternatively career opportunities in virtually any area of computing.
Entry Requirements
City & Guilds ICT System Support Diploma Level 2 (with Merits or above) or similar.
Two GCSEs at grade C and a grade 4 in English and mathematics.
