Course Summary
This qualification aims to provide learners with knowledge and understanding across a range of key subject areas in health and social care, supporting the progression to the T Level in Health or Health Science.
Course Content
Students will cover three mandatory units on health, a science component, work experience and English or math resits where required.
Course Assessment
You will be assessed through a mixture of varied assessment techniques ranging from exams to course work.

Uniform, pens, paper, textbook.
Progression
The course has been designed to enable learners to progress to the Level 3 Award, Certificate and Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care, further learning at Level 3 and above, or to assist with progression into the workplace.
These qualifications do not provide a licence to practise, but may support progression into a range of job roles in the health and social care sector, including:
• Care support workers in adult residential settings
• Healthcare assistants in community, primary care and acute health environments
• Care support workers in domiciliary services, supported living or day services
• Community-based support workers
Entry Requirements
A minimum of 3 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English, maths and science.
