Course Summary
Hairdressing Level 2 will suit you if you're just starting out in hairdressing or have some knowledge and basic skills in the industry - probably from a role where you work under supervision.
Course Content
The course consists of a variety of Hairdressing units:
•Follow Health and Safety Practice in the Salon
• Working in the Hair Industry
• Client Consultation for Hair Services
• Shampoo and Condition the Hair
• Plaiting and Twisting Hair
• The Art of Dressing Hair
• Cut Women's Hair
• Colour and Lighten Hair
• Promote Products and Services to Clients in a Salon
• Perm and Neutralise Hair
Course Assessment
You are assessed by a variety of methods including:
• Practical observations
• Oral questioning
• Written modular tests.
• Production of a portfolio of evidence
You are expected to take part in the college's work experience programme and open days during your course of study.

A hairdressing kit is required approximately £223.35 along with a protective dress code/clothing approximately £48.00

C&G Diploma in Hairdressing (VRQ) Level 2

Entry Requirements
You must demonstrate good presentation skills, show a genuine interest in the hairdressing industry and display a positive attitude to study. Gain an Initial assessment in Maths and English at L1/ L2 or GCSE grade 4 or above and a willingness to continue your studies in Maths and English to improve your grades.
