Course Summary
This course will allow you to gain the knowledge and experience required to work with children, from birth to 5 years old. It is an interesting course that enables you to study a variety of subjects, some of which include: Child Development, Safeguardings along with Supporting Literacy and Numeracy in the Early Years setting .
Course Content
This qualification provides learners with an in-depth understanding of the knowledge and
skills needed when working directly with children. . It covers all aspects of support including planning; delivering and reviewing assessment strategies to support learning and development from birth to 7 years.

A range of assessment methods could be used throughout the course and could include external assessment, written assignments, practical work, presentations and portfolios.

From the certificate the progression is the Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education (Early Years Educator), this enables learners to enter the workforce as Early Years Educators or University routes.
