Course Summary
This qualification develops the basic skills needed to care for a baby or young child. There is a choice of units – from setting a routine through to healthy lifestyles and the importance of play and learning.
Course Content
Students will covwer a variety of units such as:
-respecting and valuing children
-children’s play and leisure activities in the community
-confidence building for the young child through play
-listening to and talking with a young child.

Uniform, textbook, pens and paper
Qualifications
Caring for a Child/Children NCFE Certificate - Entry Level 3
Progression
The Level 1 in Caring for Children qualifications or the Level 1 Personal and Social Development qualifications, as they share some units with this qualification. Credits achieved from these units can be transferred over and counted towards the next qualification.
Entry Requirements
Students must have achieved at least 3 grade 1 or above- maths and english being two of them
Students must always gain a positive character reference
