Course Content
The course consists of a variety of Beauty units:
• Health and Safety in the Salon
• Promote Additional Products or Services to Clients
•Develop and Maintain Effectiveness at Work
• Provide Facial Skin Care Treatments
•Enhance the Appearance of Eyebrows and Eyelashes
• Carry out Waxing Services
• Provide Manicure and Pedicure Treatments
• Provide make-up Services
• Salon Reception Duties
Course Assessment
You are assessed by a variety of methods including:
• Practical observations
• Oral questioning
• Written modular tests.
• Production of a portfolio of evidence
You are expected to take part in the college's work experience programme and open days during your course of study.

Materials
A beauty therapy kit is required along with a protective uniform/clothing. Uniform approximately - £48.50 Kit approximately - £185.00
Qualifications
VTCT Diploma in Beauty Therapy L2
Progression
Beauty Therapy Level 3 on successful completion of level 2, subject to an interview, Initial assessment. Employment within the Beauty Therapy industry.
Entry Requirements
A successful interview, which will include an Initial Assessment and either: a NVQ Level 1 Beauty Therapy qualification or relevant work-related experiences. You must also demonstrate good communication and personal presentation skills show a genuine interest in Beauty Therapy and display a positive attitude to study. Prior to enrolment on this course, you will need to have an Initial Assessment in Literacy and Numeracy and gain a L1/L2 or hold a grade 4 GCSE. You will be required to work towards improving both Maths and English as part of your study programme.
